WINTER 2017 Introduction

Welcome to our Design blog. This blog is for you to use, in order to fully understand and develop the concepts discussed in each class. On it, you will find videos, images, lecture notes, project guidelines and various ideas and articles that may be of interest to you in formulating a creative direction for yourselves. It is meant to extend and supplement the discussion beyond the walls of the classroom. This blog is not in any way intended to replace the importance of the practice of note-taking within the class, but to provide additional conceptual tools to get your minds into the mode of thinking about a visual language as a means to communicate.

The way in which I intend to update the blog, is to sit down the morning of each class and to publish anything that may relate to the class that day. Most of the visual material that I will use to supplement my lectures, including videos and still images, will be posted, along with some notes relating to the topic of the day. Occasionally, I may respond to a class after it has passed, with additional material. I welcome any thoughts you may have as to how we may use this tool together, and I hope it is indeed something that may prove useful.
